Tidworth Town Football Club Celebrate Presentation Day!
The first dry weekend in July saw TTFC celebrate the end of our 2015/2016 football season with a fun day for all the family at our home grounds at Humber Lane, Tidworth.
A full day of football was played with the celebrations commemorating 50 years since the England 1966 World cup win and the grounds were decorated with the flags of the 16 world cup qualifying teams.
All 12 youth teams were in attendance with their families and end of season awards were presented to all players. Each manager presented their team awards with a rundown of each team’s successes for the year. Congratulations to all our worthy winners.
Tidworth Town Football Club were lucky enough to secure the Wiltshire FAs 1966 Legacy Funding Award which saw the introduction this year, of the TTFC Clubman Trophy which was awarded to Jordan White from our U16s Hotshots.
Jordan has been with the club for over 6 years and has remained the team captain throughout.
He leads by example, takes the team for warm ups before and after the game and gives the team final instructions! Exemplary on and off the field! All in all Jordan is a club stalwart and sets a great example to other kids from all age groups.
The second club award ‘The Pickernell Challenge Shield’ was awarded to Sharon Newberry for her commitment to organising a team football tour to the Isle of Wight for the U11s Rangers.
After the formalities were over it was back to the football and the long awaited Coaches v Parents match which is an annual tradition.
The coaches put on a strong performance but the final whistle crowned the parents the winners for the 3rd year running with a 4-2 win!
TTFC would like to express their thanks to Rosie Cheeks Face painting, Glittertastic by Nikki Thomson for coming along and entertaining our smaller guests and to Mario Bretti from Mario’s Ice creams for keeping us all cool.
The TTFC Committee extended their thanks to all the managers, coaches and volunteers who give up their time to make the Tidworth Town Football Club the great club it is today.
A great end to the season!
