Weather Affecting Play
With the weather as we are currently seeing it, there have been many questions surrounding the subject of training and matches if the weather is wet and cold.
Having sought guidance from Wiltshire FA, Tidworth Town FC will continue to train in all weathers unless it is unsafe for children and parents to travel to and from the grounds.
In future Tidworth Town Football Club Committee will only cancel all training sessions if we experience extreme adverse weather.
Training
On training days it will be down to the discretion of each individual manager as to whether they continue with their training session or not. If training is cancelled, the manager will contact parents via text and/or their team Facebook page.
If training is going ahead in cold and wet weather, as a parent it is then down to your discretion if you wish your child to continue with training or not.
NB to parents: - Please ensure all children are appropriately dressed and equipped for every training session.
Match Day
It will be the decision of the home club to decide whether matches will go ahead or not. On cold days there is generally a key test that happens on the pitch. A test will be carried out by a member of the Executive Committee the morning of match day and managers will be informed of the outcome as early as possible.
All managers where possible should aim for a 10.00am kick off at the earliest, to allow time for improved pitch conditions.
With rain it will depend on the age group of the team and this will be down to manager’s discretion and pitch conditions.
